A typical day in the life of a Cash Poster might include: RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to accurately post a high volume of Market, Mall, and Event payments including adjustments and customer invoices via electronic file and paper remittances in a timely manner. QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years of cash application experience in long-term care or medical industry required Excellent mathematical skills and 10-key proficiency required Experience using American Healthtech Ability to meet critical deadlines, multi-tasking and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Read and interpret payer remittances Reconcile all payments to the account, remittance, and batch on a daily basis and maintain balancing spreadsheets Maintain reporting requirements relative to the cash applications spreadsheet Discover issues with billing, coding and reimbursement related to payment reconciliation and communicate with supervisor Recognize over and under payments and communicate to responsible parties Identifies and posts denied claims with the correct status codes in the system Strong customer services skills Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently Subscribe to TTS Careers to Search job sites Newsletters, Newspaper Associates and Company Career Pages.
